Pawan to campaign in Tekkali

The Yuva Rajyam chief Pawan Kalyan has not appeared in public after the rout of the Praja Rajyam party in the elections. He made a brief appearance at the party office on August 15 when the party chief Chiranjeevi unfurled the tricolour on Independence Day.

Chiranjeevi disclosed that he will depute Pawan Kalyan to campaign for the party candidate for the Tekkali bypoll. Chiranjeevi has chosen Duvvada Srinivas to fight the bypoll.

The bypoll has been necessitated following the death of the congress MLA K Revathipathi. He died even before he could take oath as MLA after being elected.

Priest pawns lord’s necklace in TirupathiIn a shocking incident that came to light today, China Raman Deekhsitulu, the chief priest of the Sri Kodandaramai Swamy temple in Tirupathi pledged a gold necklace of the lord at with a pawn broker, Sri Kamadhenu and sons.

The incident came to light after the TTD under which the temple functions started conducting n audit of the lord’s ornaments following a directive from the high court.

It is understood that the priest had pledged the gold ornament long back but it came to light only today. The vigilance staff has taken him into custody and is interrogating him.

Another necklace of the lord is also missing. The priest does seem to have any regrets in committing the crime and he says that he did it to make ends meet and even the lord will forgive him.

Anti virus software company, Norton has released a list of the most dangerous websites. These websites are very dangerous and can infest the computers with malware. Malware is the software that can damage or compromise the computer without the owners’ consent. A spokesperson from the company said that even when a user visits these websites, it could expose the computer to infection and put personal information in the hands of unwanted people. These websites had an average of 18,000 threats and almost 40 percent of the sites had more than 20,000 threats. Almost 75 percent of the websites have been spreading malware for more than six months. Some of the websites are 17ebook.com, aladel.net, clicnews.com,ginedis.com etc.

Hoax bomb call to Kukatpally JNTU coll

A bomb threat call turned out to be hoax at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Engineering in Kukatpally on Friday.

The police said a peon at the college received a call from an anonymous man claiming that a bomb had been planted on the college premises.

College authorities alerted the police who rushed to the spot and conducted an extensive search. The building was evacuated. However, after searching the premises for over 2 hours, nothing was found by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad.

“Around 9 am on Tuesday, the peon attended a call from a man who claimed that a bomb had been planted in the college which would go off in an hour. The peon immediately informed the principal and college staff. Following this, everyone in the college was asked to evacuate the building,” said police inspector of Kukatpally police station.

“It was a hoax call. We suspect that someone from the college may have played a prank. All students were asked to leave the college after the call. We are trying to trace the caller,” added the inspector.

The buzz is that Vivek Oberoi has as many as half-a-dozen lip-locks in his forthcoming film, Kumar Taurani’s Prince

The film, an espionage thriller on the lines of Matt Damon’s Bourne series, has Vivek romancing Nandana Sen, Aruna Moorty and Niroo Singh. It is expected to hit theatres only at the end of the year.

“There is one particular kiss between Vivek and newbie Aruna shot on a bridge overseas that is soooo long, that it’s bound to make headlines,” says a source. Vivek, who is recuperating from a neck injury and is undergoing physiotherapy at a suburban hospital each morning, is not yet ready for media interactions on the kiss.

Haasan sisters get behind dad Kamal

Shruti Haasan, the dismal showing of her debut film Luck notwithstanding, is one busy Girl.

Bollywood projects are coming along, and she’s also occupied with composing music for father Kamal Haasan’s film Unnaipol Oruvan — the Tamil remake of A Wednesday! Now, the one-film-old actress has donned a new hat. That of a director. Shruti will get behind the camera to co-direct a music video for Kamal’s film as well.

She has even conceptualised the video. And roped in younger sister Akshara too. A trained hip-hop and jazz dancer, the junior Haasan will be choreographing this video! A source reveals, “The song titled Vaanum Ellai Illai, also called Easier Said Than Done, is a hip-hop number and features the international rapper Blasé. The music video is a modern take on the theme of the film and contains lots of elements based on terrorism. It’s actually a contemporary expression of the same subject and the actress is using hip-hop to spread a political message.”

Josh Moved to 3rd September

Dil Raju arranged a press meet today morning at his office to announce the release date of Naga Chaitanya’s debut vehicle ‘Josh’ (youth rocks).

Dil Raju said, “Telugu movie lovers are keen about Nagarjuna’s son debut movie Josh. We started the shooting 6 months back and aimed at 11 September release. We couldn’t release the film by then since we didn’t want to compromise in making. Then we decided to release the movie on the eve of Nagarjuna’s birthday this month end. We are using the best the technology for the post-production of the movie. The final product is almost ready and we are planning to release Josh on 3 September. Sandeep Chowta gave youthful music. It is true that the music of Josh didn’t reach the expectations created by the music of the films from our banner. That is due to the fact that Sandeep Chowta scored the songs as per the demand of the situation. And you would find the songs exhilarating when you watch them on the screen. I am confident of the success of movie.”

Uday Kiran Movie Story written by Tamilnadu CM

Uday Kiran is coming back with a film under the direction of Subba Selvam. The youthful romantic entertainer has Swetha Basu Prasad as the heroine. This film which is likely to release soon would have Uday Kiran in a lover boy role.

In the meanwhile he has also signed a Tamil film for which the story has been penned by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

Chiru and his MLAs walked out 1st time from Assemb...

Chiranjeevi along with his 17 other MLAs walked out from the state assembly today along with his party MLAs, in protest against the State government’s negligence for not declaring state as drought affected.

This is the first that Chiru's team walking out of Assembly. Chiru must have done this to put an end to the media's prediction that he is soft corner towards Congress.

Chiru and PAC is said to have taken the decision to go tough against Congress Government so that the party shouldn't give any room to media to write negative news against PRP.

What’s it about!

Mallanna (Vikram) is a CBI Officer working under economic offences investigation department. He steals some of the money that he caught during the raides and distributes to the needy and poor. He comes in disguise of god Mallanna to the helpful who petition at the temple of Mallanna. Once CBI raids on powerful rich person PPP (Ashish Vidyardhi) under the guidance of Mallanna and after that PPP vows to finish him off. His daughter Subbalakahsmi (Shriya) swears revenge and pretends to fall in love with him. Mallanna is protected by CBI Joint director (Krishna) in his Robin Hood activities. The rest of the movie is how Subbalakshmi realizes her fault, and Mallanna achieves his mission.

Analysis

Mallanna is typical Robin Hood story but the director has failed to present it effectively; he has resorted to the camera gimmickry and editing effects. Director Susi Ganeshan seems to have inspired by director Shankar as he has followed the same terrain. The film is shot extravagantly in various exotic locations and action stunts are superb but it doesn’t have soul and substance. By and large, it is kichidi of various flicks like Shivaji (Black Money, Economical Offences), Tagore (Hero and his friends acting like a gang), Shahensha (Robin Hood kind of generosity), Aparichitudu (Getups), etc.

Grand locations, extravagant budget and some of the episodes are the best part of the film and rest is pretty ordinary. Theme and story is interesting but the treatment is lethargic. The film could have been better had the director concentrated more on screenplay rather than his self-indulgence (he acts in the film too).

Chiru gets public sympathy

Chiru reacted sharply to the comments made by Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi newspapers. In response, he immediately called for a press meet and gave a very emotional reaction on the writings and the standings of his party. Those who have seen this said that after the Vajrotsavam speech, this seems to be the most emotional one from Chiru again. While some have been passing jokes on this again, it seems that there is a sympathy wave of sorts which has got generated for Chiru due to this.

Telugu films become stepping stones

“Biggest joke of the year.”

The Sri Lankan Resettlement and Disaster Relief Services Minister Abdul Risath Bathiyutheen has stirred the hornet’s nest by alleging that most of the Tamil films inducing Rajini starrers have been funded by the LTTE. He was quoted as having said to the www.asiantribune.com: “Millions and millions of US dollars were given to a London-based Tamilian. He was asked to produce Tamil films in Chennai with top stars like Rajinikanth.”

However, Rajini’s office declined to comment on the issue. When Hansraj Saxena, COO, Sun Films, was asked about this, he said that connecting Endhiran to this allegation would be the “biggest joke of the year.”
