SS Rajamouli who is currently in story discussions of comedy flick ‘Maryada Ramanna’ with Sunil is going to direct another big budget extravaganza. It will be produced by Rajamouli’s guru K Raghavendra Rao. As per the sources of idlebrain.com, it will feature Prabhas as hero and the story is based on Brahmarshi Viswamitra. Other details are awaited.

Nenu Ravi Teja'- a film title of Aswini Dutt's banner?

Aswini Dutt's daughters formed a new banner ' Three Angels Studio productions' and making small films on that. Thei next film will be with hero Nikhil (Happy Days Fame) and the film is titled as Nenu Ravi teja.

This film is inspired by Bollywood film 'A life in metro.'

So Nikhil will be playing the role of Shiny Ahuja played and Bindhu Madhavi will be in Kangana's role and Navadeep in Sharman Joshi's role, Kajal doing Shilpa Shetty's role.

Salman to buy an IPL team!

Salman met IPL chairman and commissioner Lalit Modi here Tuesday and was briefed about the nitty-grittes of buying an IPL franchise.The fourth season of the IPL in 2011 will see two new teams and they would be up for grabs through a bidding process later this year.

Modi said Salman is interested in buying an IPL team. "He has been interested to buy a team for quite some time," Modi added. "Today we had a brief meeting and I explained him how to go about with the task. I can assure you that Salman is not the only star who is thinking to buy a team. I have had around 28 queries and the list will surely go up," he said.

IPL vice-president Niranjan Shah told IANS that Salman is a serious buyer and will bid for one of the two new teams. "Salman is a serious buyer and is contemplating to buy an IPL team. He came along with couple of his friends and was briefed by Lalit on the procedure to buy IPL franchise," said Shah.

Shah went on to add that cities like Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Vishakhaptanam are in fray to be the hometown for new teams. "It will be an open tender process and the city that gets the highest bidder will be the new IPL team," he said.

Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla are the co-owners of Kolkata Knight Riders while Preity Zinta is also a joint owner of Kings XI Punjab. Shilpa Shetty and her boyfriend Raj Kundra also bought some stakes in Rajasthan Royals.

TV9 compares PRP with an empty ground

Praja Rajyam Party(PRP) has completed one year and media channels are broadcasting several opinions on the fate of PRP and it's chief Chiranjeevi. The channel iNEWS has shown top ten blunders of the PRP while Eenadu said both strength and weakness of PRP is Chiranjeevi.

TV9 as usual has taken an innovative step of conducting Live from the ground in Tirupathi where PRP had an initial meeting and hoisted it's name and flag. Obviously the ground is empty now and nobody else is around except TV9 crew. A laptop for $ 10!

HYDERABAD: In a move to bridge the digital divide the government was working to develop laptops costing as low as $ 10, Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development
D Purandeswari said here today.

``To ensure that students have access to computers, the government is studying the feasibility of developing laptops which would cost not more than 10 dollars.

``Though it represented a huge technological challenge, India possesses the capability to overcome it. It was the dream of Ratan Tata to provide an affordable car to people at Rs 1 lakh, and he did it. We need to put our heads together and ensure that every child in the country has access to an affordable laptop,’’ she said.

Magadheera King of Tollywood

It is a general phenomenon that any block buster movie would reduce number of theaters after 2-3 weeks of release in big cities. But that is happening in reverse for Magadheera. Rising to the packed housefuls 9 more theaters are adding to the present 26 theaters those are screening Magadheera.

This is to curtail black marketing by making the film reach to family audiences. Till, now majority of family audiences didn’t watch the film rising to heavy rush at theaters and inevitable black ticket sales.

Now totally 35 theaters are going to run the film. That is something historical about Magadheera.

Prabhas one night in Chanchalguda jail

Poori Jagannath is making the film 'Ek Niranjan' with Prabhas and Kangana as the lead pair.

The unit consisting of actors Prabhas, Satyaraj and Mukul were in the Chanchalguda Jail on Tuesday night to shoot couple of jail scenes.

Instead of going for the jail set, Poori selected real jail shoot those scenes.

So Poori, Prabhas and other actor with technicians had to stay in Jail for a night.

On the other hand, Poori is planning to release the film on 29th of October.

Mahesh Babu @ Charminar for varudu

A special set is erected at Charminar for Mahesh Babu's film Varudu. Fight Master Peter Hynes is composing couple of fights sequences on Mahesh Babu in this set for the past couple of days and this shoot will be continued for another couple days at Charminar.

3Crores Tamil Movie became 16 Crores in Tollywood

The remake of Naadodigal in Telugu, titled Shambo Shiva Shambo with Ravi Teja has hit the floors. While the film was made with a budget of Rs. 3 crores in Tamil, the Telugu version is proving to be costly for its producer Bellamkonda Suresh.

From what we hear from our sources, Shambo Shiva Shambo’s budget has already crossed over Rs. 16 crores. The buzz is that the huge pay packets that each of the star in the film including the hero Ravi Teja, Siva Balaji, and Allari Naresh, contributed to the rise in the budget. Further, our sources say that the film’s director Samuthirakani has hiked his pay to Rs. 1 crore.

Mother Teresa's 99th birth anniversary

Today is Mother Teresa\'s 99th birth anniversary and Missionaries of Charity across the world are holding special prayers to mark the day.

In Kolkata\'s Mother House, world headquarters of the Missionaries and Mother Teresa\'s home, special prayers were held early Wednesday morning.

Born in Skopje in Albania in 1910, Mother Teresa came to Kolkata in 1929 and founded the Missionaries of Charity in 1950. She won the Nobel Peace prize in 1979.

Six years after her death in 1997, Mother Teresa was beatified by the Vatican for her service to the poorest of the poor.

Prabhu Deva feeling Pressure from ‘Pokiri'

Pokkiri was a money spinner in Tamil. Now the Hindi remake Wanted, starring Salman Khan and Ayesha Taika in lead roles is ready for release. Prabhu Deva, who directed the Tamil version has also directed the Hindi version. Directing the Hindi version (the first Hindi film he has directed) was a difficult proposition, says Prabhu Deva. He felt that the pressure factor was more.

Prabhu mentions keeping the tastes of Hindi audiences in mind, he made a lot of changes from the original in the song and comedy sequences. Directing a talented dancer like Ayesha and the cooperative Salman Khan made his job easier.

Dubbed murder mystery?

Director Suresh Jain's Bollywood spicy romantic thriller Ek Aur Murder (2008), starring Abu Khan and Reena Kapoor in the lead roles, is being dubbed in Telugu as Murder 3. The film will be released in the first week of September under the banner of Sri Nagalakshmi Films.

Ek Aur Murder is all about an obsessed youth who goes on a killing spree after luring girls in the name of love. But a girl escapes when he tries to kill her; the rest of the plot is whether he manages to finally kill her and what turned him into a serial killer.

Dil Raju Nizam in Loss with Mallana

Dil Raju distributed Vikram's Mallanna in Nizam area. As for the sources, Mallanna has collected Rs 2.08 Crs in the first four days of its run.It is likely to end up with Rs2.5 Crs by the end of first week.

And trade pundits say that the film may end up with Rs 5.5 Crs in Nizam Area.

NTR-VV Vinayak’s film is at brisk pace with shooting taking place at Hyderabad. Recently the unit had been to Switzerland to shoot songs on lead pair. Nayantara and Sheela are sharing screen with NTR in this film which has a tentative title ‘Adurs’. Right now scenes involving bollywood actor cum director Mahesh Manjrekar is being shot. Mahesh Manjrekar is he who acted in films like ‘Okkadunnadu’ and ‘Homam’. He is now playing the negative role against hero NTR.

Another attraction of this film is Charmi, who was paired with NTR in ‘Rakhi’ will again be sharing screen with him, but for an item dance only. Although Charmi is busy as heroine it appears that she does not mind giving even dance numbers provided the films are made on top banners with top heroes. The film produced by Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan under Vaishnavi Arts banner is said to be releasing in the month of December.
