Director Srisuryaaa is a debutant. He loves Pawan Kalyan. He says he became a film director just to make a movie with Pawan Kalyan and resurrect his sliding career.
At the audio function of "Padaharella Vayasu" he says Pawan Kalyan is a great actor, he hasn't given a hit after Kushi. So in order to give him one he has taken to direction. "I will make film after film, deliver hit after hit, one day he will call me and offer me a film. My goal is that right now," he adds.
Srisuryaaa says he has no background but worked with Jandhyala. Right now the post-production of Padaharella Vayasu is going on. Bhushan, son of veteran actor Nagabhushanam, is acting in the film. He had reportedly worked in six films so far. Arya Vora from Mumbai is the heroine.

Generally, when people need to improve their performances, they tend to compare themselves with the best to derive the motivation to perform better. When you are the best, who do you compare your performances with? What was the motivation factor in UO?
In the case of UO, the content was the motivation. Naseeruddin Shah’s performance was a challenge. If you observe, Kamban wrote the Ramayana as it was a challenge to him.
Is there friendly competition when two classy actors work together? In the case of UO, you and Mohanlal?
Absolutely. And we like each other. All the while, every actor is in competition, whether he is in the same film or not. Whenever I watch a good movie of Mohanlal’s, I feel like doing a movie better than his and when he watches a good film of mine, he feels likewise. We both initiate and encourage each other. The idea is that if the competition is negative in nature, we will only head downwards. The gravity will drag us down and we will have to remain there. To get up and fly, we need to motivate each other. The concept of destroying your enemy completely is a concept that does not exist in modern day warfare. When it is a non-existent concept in the art of modern day war, how can it be there in the field of art, in which enemies don’t exist?
On the power of art ...
When I watch a superb performance, I forget everything else apart from the performance of that individual. When a Pakistani actor acts well, I forget about the man (Kasab) who is testifying in the court. I forget the Pakistanis who backstabbed us on 26/11. At that moment, I only think of the artiste who has performed well. Art has that strength and the same strength prevails in justice and in righteousness. So, the more art proceeds towards righteousness, the more its victory will be known to the world.

It is like a younger brother watching and learning from an elder brother or a son learning from his father. What I did in Dasavatharam, I did watching Navarathri. There is nothing to hide or feel shy about it. If you were to ask Sivaji sir as to how he did it, he would have said that he did it by watching Jagathalaprathapan. It is the duty of the next generation to outclass or outperform its preceding generation. A generation that fails to do this can only be termed as one that is backward. Now, my duty is to go beyond the distance that Sivaji sir travelled. A child that sits on his shoulders shouldn’t think that he is taller than the person bearing him nor should he keep looking down. When a child gets the permission to get on the shoulders of an achiever, it should only look ahead. That is the child’s duty. Vairamuthu too has said this.

‘Next polls will see PRP in power’
Reposing confidence in the people, Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) president Chiranjeevi has said that his party would come to power in the next elections.
Addressing cadres after unfurling the party flag on its first Foundation Day today, Chiranjeevi said 70 lakh people were behind him and others too would support the party in future. Though admitting that the party’s unexpected reverse had been demoralising, he still maintained that the people were vexed with Congress and would eventually rally behind PRP.
While the party had lessons to learn from the results, the byelections to Tekkali Assembly segment would herald the beginning of a turnaround in the party’s fortunes.
Congress had failed to address drought and price rise, and the PRP would take Tekkali, he maintained.
On desertions from PRP, Chiranjeevi said it was those who joined the party with a selfish motive who had switched loyalties. But damage had been done, he admitted.
Notwithstanding these desertions, the PRP would go to the people with a service motto and secure a permanent place in state politics, Chiranjeevi said.

The film will be a remake of the Telugu film Souryam. “Yes, I’ve just completed Rajni with Uppi and I’m glad that I’ve now been signed opposite Darshan. He topped my list of the Sandalwood actors I wanted to work with,” she says.The actress is thrilled with the kind of offers coming her way from the south. “Jab bhagvan deta hai chapad paad ke deta hai. There’s lot more happening for me in Tamil and Telugu, too,” she says. But that doesn’t mean she’s given up on Bollywood. “I’m very excited because two of my Hindi films, Daddy Cool and Toss, are releasing on the same day. I got to know this when I got back from the Bangkok shoot of Rajni. That was a pleasant surprise,” she gushes.

Suriya and Hari (the hit combination which gave us Aaru and Vel) are together once again in an “action packed family mass entertainer with all essential ingredients”.The film has the hottest girl in Kollywood — Anushka — paired opposite Suriya for the first time. The film, which will also feature Prakash Raj and Vivek, has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
We hear that shoot for the film started in Courtallam recently, and that it is likely to be Suriya’s big summer 2010 release.
