Suri will be among 948 life-convicts to be released shortly, according to a decision taken by the State Cabinet on Tuesday. After the Supreme Court rejected a writ petition against the release of prisoners, the State government has hastened the process of release of life convicts.
Sources said a few Maoist prisoners, too, would be released along with the others on remission. The list would be sent to Governor for approval, before letting the prisoners free.
