Actress Anushka Sharma who impressed every one with her debut film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is now acting in two films. After pairing up with Shah Rukh Khan in her maiden venture she will be seen opposite Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapur.Anushka and Akshay will star in Patiala House which is being directed by Nikhil Advani. In Parmeet Sethi’s untitled film she is paired with Shahid Kapur. In recent years the films of Akshay and Shahid have become good money spinners at the box office.Anushka says she will not sign any more films until these two projects are completed. She has high hopes that she will have a hat-trick of hits.

While one may discount such surveys to a degree, one cannot overlook the fact that Aishwarya is still one of the most major players in Bollywood despite being married and being over 30. The excitement around Kajol’s pairing with Shah Rukh Khan in Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan is palpable. The film is touted as 2010’s most major project, simply because pre or post marriage, every time Kajol has had a release, the talented actress has generated lots of curiosity.

It is now more than two weeks since the tragic death of YS Rajashekar Reddy in a helicopter crash. From the moment YSR’s death was confirmed, the name of YS Jagan has been doing the rounds as his successor as CM.The MLAs and ministers have unanimously endorsed the candidature of Jagan. It was felt that the announcement of Jagan as the next CM was now just a formality.However the high command seems to hold a different view. It is in no hurry to anoint Jagan as CM. Rosaiah may be continued as CM for some more time. As a result Jagan is getting impatient.His followers too are restless but with the high command firm on its stand, there is no option but to wait and watch and hope for the best.

On the Bollywood front, the buzz is that Shriya was the first choice for the role in the forthcoming film Wanted: Dead & Alive, which later went to Ayesha Takia Azmi. It’s also said that she could not bag the film because she acted pricey, so to speak. Denying those reports, all Shriya said is, “That’s not true. I would have definitely taken up the offer to act opposite Salman Khan.”

This present generation young hero made a statement recently. It said that he is ready to act inmulti-starrer movies. He says " previuosly I acted with Prabhas in "Varsham" as villain. Now also I am ready to co-star with him, if anyone comes with the story suitable to both of us. By co-starring with Kamal Haasan in "Eenadu", Venkatesh has paved way for others to follow suit." Hyderabad, Sept 15 (TNN): City Limouzine (India Ltd) Hyderabad one of India’s largest car rental companies which also ventured into chit funds business has closed down its office at Abids here on Tuesday. The Company authorities had to bring down the shutters owing to a series of mismatch of funds.The Mumbai based company is learnt to have mopped up substantial deposits by offering various attractive schemes. The company which also offers cab services started functioning in Hyderabad from July 2006. Soon it gained the confidence of 14,000 customers who deposited nearly Rs 100 crores . Panic spread among the depositors when the regional director of City Limouzine, M W Khan could not be traced any where in the twin cities.With a replay of the private banks fiasco playing in their minds, hundreds of depositors armed with deposit certificates and other documents thronged in front of the company’s office at Abids. They narrated their tales of woe to the media and also expressed apprehensions that they would lose their money. They said that they were "lured" by offers of interest rates.The police had to intervene to bring the situation under control. With little information forthcoming it was a panicky day for the depositors of City Limouzine.

Starting as a diologue writer for EVV Satyanarayana's flick "Appula Apparao", L.B. Sriram became an actor with again EVV's flick "Chala Baagundi". Now he established himself as a prominent comedian in Telugu films. Basically he is a non-controversial man. L.B. Sriram's full name is 'Lanka Bhadradri Sriramachandramurthy'. Another famous comedian M.S. Narayana dragged LB's name in to controversy. He told LB " your name itself is a big controversy. The Lanka in your name belongs to Ravana and Bhadradri to Lord Rama. If anyone asks for your name, just tell him LB Sriram, otherwise it would become a serious issue for debate."

In audio release function of Suresh Movies "Bendu Apparao" at Ramanaidu Studios, speaking on the occasion actor Utthej created a faux pas. He said " I wish this movie and also its audio a grand success. Then addressing hero Venkatesh who was present there he said " I also wish "Eenadu" movie a grand success, Venkatesh Babu has performed very well alongwith Kamal Haasan in that movie." Getting the chance, comedian Ali who compered on stage quipped " Utthej has purchased distribution rights of "Eenadu" for one area, that is why he is speaking about that movie in this movie's function." In fact Utthej has nothing to do with "Eenadu" movie.

Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao appears to have realised that without his friend late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, he is nothing in New Delhi.
When YSR was alive, KVP used to accompany him to Delhi on political visits and he was being treated with respect by the people in the AICC. But once YSR is dead, the leaders have started ignoring him.
Though AICC president Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and others had given him respect in the initial days of YSR’s death, because of the attachment he had, but once he started lobbying for Jagan, they suspected that KVP has his own interests.
That was when they punctured his balloon. The kind of treatment KVP got in his first visit to Delhi was not seen in his second visit. He met a few leaders, but they told him that it was better he stop lobbying for Jagan, since Sonia would know everything. KVP had to return empty handed!

Jayaprada Cries When Bullock-cart Tilted

Samajwadi Party MP and erstwhile actress Jayaprada went on a tour of flood-affected areas in her Rampur costituency. After travelling for some distance, she had to get into a bullock-cart to travel further. She went on further braving the flood waters and sludge for some more distance when her bullockcart got struck in a ditch and tilted to one side. She got panicky and started shrieking and crying with fear for life. People accompanying her in another cart managed to pull it out of the ditch and comforted her. She completely regained her composure and went on to meet the flood victims.

After playing a happy go lucky guy Chandu in his recent Sankham, aggressive star Gopichand is playing an encounter specialist in producer-director Puri Jagannath's upcoming film titled Golimar.To be produced by the director himself under the banner of Vaishno Academy, Golimar will hit floors in November and will grace screens in April 2010. Details of other cast and crew members are awaited.Meanwhile, one of Gopichand's biggest hits Souryam, which gave him a mass youth icon image in Tollywood, is being dubbed in Malayalam with the same title. Paul loses case against YSR!

Maverick evangelist K A Paul could not take on former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, when he was alive. And even after the death, Paul could not win over him.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition filed by Paul against YSR, Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and former minister K Natwar Singh, stating that they had allegedly stalled his Global Peace Mission in 2007, resulting in a loss of over Rs 500 crore to him. The court did not find any evidences against the three leaders.
Paul was gunning for the head of YSR and even formed a political party to “defeat” the Congress in the last elections. However, his own petition was dismissed by the Election Commission. His efforts to make friendship with TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao also failed.
Now that YSR is dead, Paul is planning to stage a comeback with the support of other Christian preachers.

KBL girl Swetha Basu Prasad who did sizzling numbers in the recently released Ride refused to do a very hot and romantic song for her current film. Not only she refused to give ‘sexy expressions’, she also fought with the director, cameraman and producer and walked out from the sets. This incident happened today evening (September 15, 2009) at Annapoorna Studios where a special set has been erected and the song is being canned on hero Nikhil and Swetha.The song is remix of super hit song, "Aa Bugga Meeda..” from Vajrayudham shot on Krishna and Sridevi. The original song was picturised very romantically by K Raghavendra Rao. Likewise, this remix song is also being canned very hot but Swetha Basu refused to give romantic expressions for the song citing they are vulgar. When the makers argued that they are shooting it aesthetically, she reportedly started mouthing cuss words. “Tollywood s***s,” she reportedly said and walked out from the sets. Now the shooting came to halt.

Al Qaida’as terror chief Osama bin Laden has warned US President Barack Obama that a war of attrition will go on unless the war in Afghanistan is stopped.Titled “Message to the American People,” the video features a still image of Bin Laden and an audio statement, said IntelCentre, based outside Washington. The video was released on Sunday by the As-Sahab media production branch of Al Qaeda.If Americans want to end their confrontation with Al Qaeda, Bin Laden said they must reconsider their attitude toward the Jewish state of Israel. He wanted Obama not to follow the policies of President Bush.The message came two days after the US marked the eighth anniversary of the deadly September 11, 2001 attacks, which claimed 3,000 lives.Incidentally, only a few days ago, the Pakistan Prime Minister stated that Osama bin Laden was dead.

Actor Suriya, who is shooting for ‘Singam’(Tamil), is joining hands with director A R Murugadoss and producer Udhayanidhi Stalin again. Sources say that it will be a trilingual film (Tamil, Hindi and Telugu).
Buzz is that Katrina Kaif has been approached for the role. Suriya had favoured Harris Jayaraj to score music for all the three versions. Suriya, Murugadoss and Harris Jayaraj had teamed up to render a huge hit in ‘Ghajini’.
Suriya will also be acting in a Bollywood film ‘Rakta Charitra’, to be directed by Ram Gopal Varma. In Hari’s ‘Singam’, Suriya plays a straight-forward police officer Durai Singam who fights evil in society.

The news is that Trisha has rejected a Malayalam film as she felt that the remuneration is not what she usually gets. Its a known fact that Trisha is eying Bollywood and big bucks and so she is staying away from less remunerative films.She seems to be as yet fine with Tamil and Telugu films as they have a scope for better remuneration, but Malayalam films seem to be a ruled out for her.Though the actress clearly states that her commitments in other films was the reason behind rejecting the Malayalam film, many are not willing to buy this argument.

Miss India Vanishes

Miss India Parvathy Omankuttan did a vanishing act when she disappeared from the sets ofher forthcoming film United Six. All this happened in Thailand where the film was being shot. The unit members made frenetic calls to her mobile only to realize that she did not carry her mobile with her.
After six hours of search the lady resurfaced gleefully unaware of all the trouble the film's unit was going through. She apparently went off shopping thinking that her part of the shooting was over for the day.All this resulted in a huge loss for the producer. That is all we have to say about Parvathy's professionalism.

Yuva Natasamrat Naga Chaitanya who made his debut with the film ‘Josh’ has already been roped in for two more projects. One among them happens to be a movie that he is working on and this one will be directed by Gautam Menon, as per the latest sources.
Now, many say that ‘Josh’ has not been able to show the true potential of Naga Chaitanya given his character in the film, but it seems the real actor inside him will be seen in the movie by Menon. His character is said to be sketched with lot of energy and enthusiasm.

The remake mania hits again. Bollywood, Tollywood or Kollywood remakes are the hot choice of most film makers now. Our very own young tiger Jr. NTR has reportedly shown interest in remaking one of his grandpa’s films. The legendary NTR starred in a film titled ‘Bobbili Puli’ which was a blockbuster many years ago and this was a trendsetter of sorts. This is reported to be the choice of the super star grandson. Buzz is that Jr. NTR who is currently busy with the shooting of his film ‘Adurs’ had got in touch with director Dasari Narayana Rao when he was recovering from his back injury. Well all this is news but no confirmation on them yet, let us see what happens.

Chirpy and cheerful Genelia is the heartthrob of many. She has won over hearts in South and the North as well. Now this babe is going to be seen in a thriller. The film is to be produced by Gunnam Gangaraju. Genelia would be donning the role of a tutor and the film has been titled as ‘Katha’.
She would be seen pairing up with newcomer Arun Kumar. Genelia says that she liked the script the moment she heard it and is very excited about the project. Tirupathi Laddu awarded with copyright

'Tirupati laddoo' offered to devotees at the Lord Venkateswara Temple has been awarded geographical copyright that bars others from naming or marketing the sweetmeat preparation under the same name.
The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams, a trust that administers the Venkateswara Temple in the Tirumala hills, had applied for Geographical Indication (GI) with the Chennai- based Geographical Indication Registry in March last year.
"The GI certificate for Tirupati Laddoo has been granted to the trust (TTD). The Laddoo is now protected under law and nobody can copy it," G L Verma, Assistant Registrar of Trade Marks and GI, told from Chennai.
Under GI, the right to marketing a product is tied to a definite geographical territory and the manufactured goods should be produced or processed or prepared in that territory.

Kamal Hasan to fight it out in court of Law.

Pyramid Saimira has filed a petition in the High Court of Madras seeking a stay on the release of Kamal Haasan’s Unnaipol Oruvan. According to the petitioner, Kamal’s Raaj Kamal International entered into an agreement with them to produce the historical film Marmayogi. On the assurance of the actor that he would rope in Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini and Priyanka Chopra to star in the film, Pyramid Saimira handed over Rs. 10.90 crores to the actor.However, Kamal did not make any attempts to sign up the actors, alleges the petitioner. Yet another complaint against the actor is that as per the contract, he cannot move on to other projects without completing his commitment to the petitioner. Based on all these allegations, the petitioner filed a case seeking a stay in the release of Unnaipol Oruvan until their dues amounting to Rs. 7.82 crores are settled. The judge posted the case for hearing on September 16th.
