A Trichy-based woman said on Friday that she would file a defamation suit against Sneha for "humiliating" her husband by accusing him of molesting her.

Sneha was in Trichy to participate in the first anniversary celebrations of a jewellery outlet. A huge crowd thronged the outlet to have a glimpse of the actress.

Caught among her fans, Sneha suddenly screamed that someone had pinched her. When her security guards rushed to her help, she reportedly told them that the miscreant was wearing a blue shirt.

Following this, the guards found one Suresh Kumar, a realtor, who was wearing a blue shirt and allegedly assaulted him. They later handed him over to the police. A case was registered and the man later came out on bail.

Suresh's wife Sharmila has come to the rescue of her husband and said that she was along with him when the incident took place and claimed that Suresh never went close to the actress.

Speaking to reporters, Sharmila said she would file a defamation suit against the actress.

Swine flu scare turns a boon for Tirumala pilgrims

Thousands of common pilgrims had a close darshan of the Lord on Friday as the rush dwindled for Brahmotsavams, primarily due to swine flu scare. What’s more, many of them could catch a glimpse of the expensive ‘Abhishekam’ darshan for the first time in their lives. Worried over the low pilgrim turnout at the temple for the Brahmotsavams, the TTD top brass directed officials to allow common pilgrims to have a close darshan, about 30 ft away, from the presiding deity instead of the usual ‘Maha Laghu’ darshan during which the devout could only catch a glimpse of the Lord from as far as 60 ft away.
On a trial basis, the TTD allowed nearly 1,000 common pilgrims during the time of ‘Abhishekam.’ This weekly seva when booked in advance costs Rs 750 per ticket, while under discretionary quota it is pegged at Rs 2,500 per ticket. However, it is difficult to even buy this ticket as the seva has been booked by pilgrims till 2025. “Thanks to the TTD officials, common pilgrims like us could witness the seva,” a pilgrim from Coimbatore said. According to temple officials, over 2.5 lakh pilgrims had a hassle-free darshan in the last four days.
Sources said because of the swine flu scare in metros like Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad, the flow of VIPs to the temple town for the Brahmotsavams has considerably come down. “However, the common pilgrims continue to swarm the temple in big numbers. They were lucky to have a good darshan of the Lord in the last four days,” a senior official said.

Congress culture exposed: Javdekar

HYDERABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary and official spokesman Prakash Javdekar said after the sudden demise of chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the true culture of the Congress party was exposed.

Though there was a Chief Minister in the State, the Congress leaders were speaking about future chief minister. “None is ready to obey Chief Minister Rosaiah’s directions. He is unable to take any decision and the administration is paralysed in the State,” Javdekar said. Addressing a press conference at the party State headquarters here today, he took strong objection to Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar’s statement that there would be shortage of foodgrains and increase in the prices of essential commodities. “Such statements will embolden traders to jack up prices,” he said.

The Congress government could neither help the common man by controlling the price spiral nor the farmer by increasing the Minimum Support Price (MSP).

The BJP leader said that Congress should implement austerity as a way of life but not use it like a fashion statement. The Congress was speaking about austerity only in the context of prevailing drought, did this mean that postdrought, the party leaders would revert to their lavish lifestyle?” Javedkar asked.

The Congress leaders had forgotten austerity in public life after Mahatma Gandhi, while the RSS and other such organisations were still following Gandhi’s simplicity, he said

Women's organizations support Ramlath

Heeding Ramlath's request to save her marriage from the clutches of actress Nayantara, several women's welfare organizations have been pitching support by way of letters and calling her.

According to Kalpana, Head of Jhansi Rani Women's Protective Association, it is wrong on the part of Nayantara to come in the way of a marriage which had been strong for 15 years.

“As a reputed actress, Nayantara has many avenues to shape hercareer and should not be the cause to break a marriage. Artistes like her have to set an example as every act is followed by scores of her fans. It could send wrong signals to the society,” said Kalpana.

Kalpana said this issue is no longer an individual's problem, a problem which has snowballed into an ugly episode. “Now Nayantara can no longer evade the issue and has to issue a statement that she has no affair with Prabhu Deva. Till that happens, we will resort to massive agitations and not allow any of her movies to be screened.”

This sensational news appeared in a popular evening vernacular.

If one were to believe Ramlath, Prabhu Deva's wife, then the truth of the matter is that the dancer-actor-director is head over heels in love with Nayantara. Now Prabhu Deva's wife claims that the guy wants Ramlath's permission to marry Nayantara.

Apparently Prabhu Deva has no plans to leave his first wife, he wants to keep the first wife and also marry Nayantara.

Umm good thinking Prabhu Deva you want to eat the cake and have it too!
