Tamil daily Dinamalar editor B Lenin was arrested on Wednesday for making derogatory remark against Tamil actresses following statement made by Bhuvaneswari who was arrested for allegedly running a high-profile brothel.BhuvaneswariAccording to the police, Dinamalar editor B Lenin was arrested following complaint lodged by Radha Ravi, general secretary of the South India Film Artistes Association.He was booked under Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Women Harassment (prevention) Act.The Tamil daily has published the news based on the statement of Bhuvaneshwari. The article mentioned the name of several Tamil actors and published their pics too.news papaerMeanwhile, after the 10 minuets of interrogation, B Lennin was produced in a local court in Egmore where he was remanded to judicial custody by magistrate.

The revolt in the TRS and the defections, fighting at the TRS Bhavan, were all the past and it was felt that KCR and his TRS were out of the political scene. But, the sudden death of Dr Rajasekhar Reddy seems to have given a new life to KCR and his TRS. It is for this reason KCR is trying to move close to the Congress leadership in Delhi, while pointing an accusing finger at Dr Rajasekhar Reddy. His words against Dr Rajasekhar Reddy are seen as his mission to isolate and block the entry of Vijayasanthi into the Congress. It is to be seen how far he would succeed in this and what the Ramulamma would do to protect her political career.

The US today announced an assistance of 100,000 dollars for the victims of the recent floods in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.Announcing the aid package, US Ambassador to India Timothy J Roemer said "the heart-breaking personal loss, the destruction of homes and property, and the loss of cattle and crops have been devastating. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this time of great loss and tragedy."He also offered condolences to the families of those killed and to those rendered homeless in the disaster, a release from the US Embassy said.Over the past seven years, the US has provided over 16 million US dollars for disaster management activities in India, working in partnership with experts here to share knowledge and expertise and improve preparedness to protect the country's vulnerable citizens, the release added.
