KVP on duty from Monday

Hyderabad: Dr K.V.P. Rama-chandra Rao, the close aide of late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, would resume his duty as the chairman of two advisory bodies on public affairs and public safety to the government at the Secretariat from Monday. Dr Rao, who is also a member of the Rajya Sabha, functions as the advisor to the government from his office situated on the ground floor of ‘D’ block. The office of the Chief Minister, Mr K Rosaiah, is on the second floor of the same block.
Dr Rao’s presence is expected to be reassuring to the Congress leaders. However, the effect on the functioning of officials is still to be seen.
Whether Dr Rao will share the same chemistry with the current Chief Minister as he used to share with Rajasekhar Reddy is yet to be seen.
