AICC spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan issued a statement that K. Rosaiah would continue as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh..

With the Congress high command busy with election campaign in Maharashtra and Haryana, YSR loyalists maintained a low profile on Wednesday in their ‘Jagan for CM’ campaign. They are awaiting the return of AICC president Sonia Gandhi to New Delhi and the proposed meeting of Core Committee on Friday.

Many of the Ministers returned to their work in the Secretariat. Jagan camp decided to discontinue the practice of allowing mourners to call on the family members of Rajasekhara Reddy. After a meeting between Rajya Sabha member K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao and 15 Ministers, none of them spoke to the media on their demand for anointing Jaganmohan as the Chief Minister.

Observers believe that Rosiah will continue as CM for an year or two. The core committee will select a suitable MLA as the floor leader in the assembly
