Maverick evangelist K A Paul could not take on former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, when he was alive. And even after the death, Paul could not win over him.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition filed by Paul against YSR, Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and former minister K Natwar Singh, stating that they had allegedly stalled his Global Peace Mission in 2007, resulting in a loss of over Rs 500 crore to him. The court did not find any evidences against the three leaders.
Paul was gunning for the head of YSR and even formed a political party to “defeat” the Congress in the last elections. However, his own petition was dismissed by the Election Commission. His efforts to make friendship with TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao also failed.
Now that YSR is dead, Paul is planning to stage a comeback with the support of other Christian preachers.
