Heroine Sangeetha entered the films with Krishnavamsi directed Khadgam. After that she acted in several movies like Pellam Urelithe, Adirindayya Chandram etc. She was well acclaimed for her performane in hero Vikram starrer Shiva Puthrudu, in a glamour-less girl's role. Later she got married and was away from films for some time. Now she has started again and doing a movie Srimathi Kalyanam with hero Naveen. Speaking with media she said " I like lady oriented subjects very much and in acting, late Soundarya is my idol."
