For the first time in the history of the southern film circuit, a new magazine which speaks about all the four circuits – Tollywood, Kollywood, Mollywood and Sandalwood has been released and that too in great style. We are talking about the new magazine ‘South Scope’.
The man behind this happens to be Allu Sirish, son of Allu Aravind and this was launched by the heavyweights of the south such as superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Venkatesh, Sarath Kumar. This was part of the golden jubilee celebrations of Kamal in Indian cinema.
Now, the launch of South Scope is said to have sent shivers down the spine of the other film magazines. They are worried that as it is the print media has been going through tough times and with the arrival of this one, some of the age old players in South Filmdom will be wiped out. Only time will answer this question now.
