Drummer Sivamani to compose music

Sivamani is the most popular drummer in India. He has worked with AR Rahman many times and these days he has been making a mark on his own. Usually, he is seen mooting for Chennai Superkings in IPL matches.
Meanwhile the buzz is that he is all set to become a music composer. According to sources, he might be composing music for a Hindi movie. He is also expected to join hands with the Chennai Mozart A R Rahman for a Hollywood project.
Sivamani is said to be excited about his new role and is looking forward to it with lots of expectations.More details about his venture would be revealed soon so good luck with your new stint Sivamani!!

Katrina Kaif opposite Suriya?

Actor Suriya, who is shooting for ‘Singam’(Tamil), is joining hands with director A R Murugadoss and producer Udhayanidhi Stalin again. Sources say that it will be a trilingual film (Tamil, Hindi and Telugu).
Buzz is that Katrina Kaif has been approached for the role. Suriya had favoured Harris Jayaraj to score music for all the three versions. Suriya, Murugadoss and Harris Jayaraj had teamed up to render a huge hit in ‘Ghajini’.
Suriya will also be acting in a Bollywood film ‘Rakta Charitra’, to be directed by Ram Gopal Varma. In Hari’s ‘Singam’, Suriya plays a straight-forward police officer Durai Singam who fights evil in society.

Trisha acts pricey

The news is that Trisha has rejected a Malayalam film as she felt that the remuneration is not what she usually gets. Its a known fact that Trisha is eying Bollywood and big bucks and so she is staying away from less remunerative films.She seems to be as yet fine with Tamil and Telugu films as they have a scope for better remuneration, but Malayalam films seem to be a ruled out for her.Though the actress clearly states that her commitments in other films was the reason behind rejecting the Malayalam film, many are not willing to buy this argument.

Miss India Vanishes

Miss India Parvathy Omankuttan did a vanishing act when she disappeared from the sets ofher forthcoming film United Six. All this happened in Thailand where the film was being shot. The unit members made frenetic calls to her mobile only to realize that she did not carry her mobile with her.
After six hours of search the lady resurfaced gleefully unaware of all the trouble the film's unit was going through. She apparently went off shopping thinking that her part of the shooting was over for the day.All this resulted in a huge loss for the producer. That is all we have to say about Parvathy's professionalism.

Naga Chaitanya’s Viswaroopam In Gautam Menon's Movie

Yuva Natasamrat Naga Chaitanya who made his debut with the film ‘Josh’ has already been roped in for two more projects. One among them happens to be a movie that he is working on and this one will be directed by Gautam Menon, as per the latest sources.
Now, many say that ‘Josh’ has not been able to show the true potential of Naga Chaitanya given his character in the film, but it seems the real actor inside him will be seen in the movie by Menon. His character is said to be sketched with lot of energy and enthusiasm.
Chaitanya will be seen in a rather active role which would elevate his performance. Also, there is a buzz that this venture is a remake of a Tamil movie ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’ (cross the moonlight and come) which is currently gearing up to hit the screens in Tamil with Simbu in lead.

The remake mania hits again. Bollywood, Tollywood or Kollywood remakes are the hot choice of most film makers now. Our very own young tiger Jr. NTR has reportedly shown interest in remaking one of his grandpa’s films. The legendary NTR starred in a film titled ‘Bobbili Puli’ which was a blockbuster many years ago and this was a trendsetter of sorts. This is reported to be the choice of the super star grandson. Buzz is that Jr. NTR who is currently busy with the shooting of his film ‘Adurs’ had got in touch with director Dasari Narayana Rao when he was recovering from his back injury. Well all this is news but no confirmation on them yet, let us see what happens.

Genelia in a thriller

Chirpy and cheerful Genelia is the heartthrob of many. She has won over hearts in South and the North as well. Now this babe is going to be seen in a thriller. The film is to be produced by Gunnam Gangaraju. Genelia would be donning the role of a tutor and the film has been titled as ‘Katha’.
She would be seen pairing up with newcomer Arun Kumar. Genelia says that she liked the script the moment she heard it and is very excited about the project. Currently, the shooting has been going on in Hyderabad and soon they would be arriving with the audio release sometime this month end while the film would be hitting the screens the next month. All the best for this Genny!!!

Tirupathi Laddu awarded with copyright

'Tirupati laddoo' offered to devotees at the Lord Venkateswara Temple has been awarded geographical copyright that bars others from naming or marketing the sweetmeat preparation under the same name.
The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams, a trust that administers the Venkateswara Temple in the Tirumala hills, had applied for Geographical Indication (GI) with the Chennai- based Geographical Indication Registry in March last year.
"The GI certificate for Tirupati Laddoo has been granted to the trust (TTD). The Laddoo is now protected under law and nobody can copy it," G L Verma, Assistant Registrar of Trade Marks and GI, told from Chennai.
Under GI, the right to marketing a product is tied to a definite geographical territory and the manufactured goods should be produced or processed or prepared in that territory.

The sweet Malayalam beauty Meera Jasmine is one talented actress. It appears that she concentrates on her role and only her role while everything else is secondary for her. No wonder she has won so many accolades and acclamations. Recently she was reported to have said that she has no worries about the age of her co-star.
The actress has been paired up with senior stars like Mohanlal, Mammootty and Balakrishna and has never made a fuss about that. All she insists that her role should be of substance and true to her choice she has come up with some real good performances. For now, Meera is off the hook and her fans are waiting for her arrival on the screen.

Kamal Hasan to fight it out in court of Law.

Pyramid Saimira has filed a petition in the High Court of Madras seeking a stay on the release of Kamal Haasan’s Unnaipol Oruvan. According to the petitioner, Kamal’s Raaj Kamal International entered into an agreement with them to produce the historical film Marmayogi. On the assurance of the actor that he would rope in Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini and Priyanka Chopra to star in the film, Pyramid Saimira handed over Rs. 10.90 crores to the actor.However, Kamal did not make any attempts to sign up the actors, alleges the petitioner. Yet another complaint against the actor is that as per the contract, he cannot move on to other projects without completing his commitment to the petitioner. Based on all these allegations, the petitioner filed a case seeking a stay in the release of Unnaipol Oruvan until their dues amounting to Rs. 7.82 crores are settled. The judge posted the case for hearing on September 16th.
