A high-power committee headed by R.K. Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director of the Pawan Hans Corporation, to probe the crash involving the Bell-430 helicopter in Nallamala forests on Wednesday last, reached the crash site on Thursday.
The team is gathering the detailed information from the crash site. The team leader speaking to the media said they already have some information regarding the chopper crash and they require some more details before they submit the report to the Government.
According to the officials, the emergency locator transmitter of the chopper was recovered from the crash site. This may give some necessary information to make headway in the probe.
It usually takes two to three years to probe a case of this sort. But as this is a case of immense importance to the Government and the public are keenly following it we would like to dispose it off in two months time, he further added.
The details of this probe will be hosted on the website and it will be updated every now and then for the benefit of the followers who are closely monitoring this case.
