Senior leaders K Kesava Rao, V Hanumantha Rao, Madhu Yaskhi Gowd and G V Harsha Kumar took the lead in countering the efforts of Y S Jagan camp and backed the candidature of Chief Minister K Rosaiah. They have even expressed their wish in public that Rosaiah should continue for the rest of the term in the office. These remarks have earned stiff criticism from the leaders belonging to the Jagan’s camp.
On Thursday, former minister, Konatala Ramakrishna, said Rosaiah would continue in the office only till Jagan is made the Chief Minister. He called Rosaiah as Chanakya, the shrewd politician of the Mauryan dynasty. He is also called as the Indian Machiavelli, who helped the emperor Chandragupta to build the Indian empire in 340 BC.
Now, Rosaiah is being termed as Chanakya, who is waiting to help the young Chandragupta (Jagan) to govern the State. But the big question is will this Chanakya help Chandragupta as he did for Dr Rajasekhar Reddy in the last five years?
It is also to be seen how far this Chandragupta will succeed in building his own empire rather than riding on the empire built by his father.
