S Thaman is the new sensation in music now. He scored for the film ‘Kick’ and rocking with huge offers. The success of Kick music has showered many big banner calls on him. Right now he is scoring music for Kalyan Ram’s NTR Arts movie titled ‘Jayeebhava’. Hansika is the female lead in the film.

It is said that he is also attracting all Nandamuri clan with his work and soon we may see him scoring for other heroes of this camp. And many young heroes are now suggesting the name of Thaman to get scores for their films.

We are improving: Indian coach

Despite conceding all the matches so far in the championship, India’s Prashanti Singh exuded confidence of upstaging Japan and Thailand to prolong India’s sojourn in the premier league of the Asian cart. Echoing her, assistant coach Dinesh Mitchell maintained that India have improved by every match.

India’s strategy, said Mitchell after the 107-49 defeat, was to defend stodgily and prevent China from running away with a big lead.“They are good shooters, so we planned to defend solidly and make use of our speed on counter-attacks. But sometimes against big opponents, you get intimidated and lose your focus. It’s not possible overnight to gain experience and beat teams such as USA, Spain, China or Korea. We gave our 100 percent,” said Mitchell, who was rather skeptical of Shiba Maggon recovering from injury in time for the next match. Also, he argued that India have improved ever since he had taken over the reins as the assistant coach and was optimistic of India beating Japanand Thailand.“If I compare the team it was when I came and the team it is now, they are at two different ends. They are picking up steadily but they can do much better. I have seen them playing against Korea, Chinese Taipei, the match we almost won, and against China. So I have good feeling we could beat Thailand and Japan.”Again, salt was rubbed into India’s lack of international exposure. Pointed out Prashanti, “The Chinese and Koreans started playing practice matches by the time we started our camps, apart from their professional leagues. We played hard today and personally my shooting is better than before. Our performance is getting better and we can beat Thailand and Japan.”Chinese coach Sun Fengwu, satisfied with his side’s performance, said his team would carry forth the tempo to the semifinal and the final. “It was an improved Indian team. But we played excellent basketball. We have done everything well so far, and the key is to carry the momentum to the semifinal and final,” he said.

Another girl attacked by 3 miscreants with blade

PRODDATUR: Even as people are yet to come out of shock over a love-sick man attacking a college girl and killing her parents in Rajahmundry, another such incident took place, here today. Three unidentified miscreants attacked an 18-year old college girl with blade and fled. However, the girl suffered minor injury on hand. Soujanya, who hails from Pallavollu village of Chapadu mandal, had came to the town in a share auto and got down at Rajiv Circle in the morning. On the instructions of her father Venkata Subbaiah, her uncle Yacob picked her up and escorted her to the college. On the way to the college she got down at a xerox copying centre when three unidentified miscreants, who were reported to have come on a scooter wearing masks, attacked her with blade and fled from the scene. She immediately lodged a complaint with the police.

Later, speaking to mediapersons, she said that for the past three days she had been stalked by some unidentifed persons and she had complained the same to her parents. On the directions of her father, her uncle Yacob had picked up her today in Proddatur. Soujanya maintained that did not have any affair and there were no incidents of some one proposing to her and she rejecting them. Meanwhile, her relatives in the village said that the family is having some financial dispute with one Sudharshan in the village. Proddatur DSP Varnoor Saheb registered a case and took up investigation.

CM to visit Tirumala tomorrow

TIRUMALA: Chief Minister K Rosaiah will visit Tirupati and Tirumala on September 21. He will present Vastrams to Lord Venkateswara on behalf of the State Government for the annual Srivari Brahmotsavams. `Vastra Samarpana’ will be held after Dhwajarohanam.

The Chief Minister will inaugurate gamma camera unit and cath lab at SVIMS during his visit. A comprehensive eye care centre will also be inaugurated him at the TTD Central Hospital. The Chief Minister will also inaugurate the new Alipiri check point, a 12-lane toll entrance.

KVP on duty from Monday

Hyderabad: Dr K.V.P. Rama-chandra Rao, the close aide of late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, would resume his duty as the chairman of two advisory bodies on public affairs and public safety to the government at the Secretariat from Monday.

Dr Rao, who is also a member of the Rajya Sabha, functions as the advisor to the government from his office situated on the ground floor of ‘D’ block. The office of the Chief Minister, Mr K Rosaiah, is on the second floor of the same block.

Dr Rao’s presence is expected to be reassuring to the Congress leaders. However, the effect on the functioning of officials is still to be seen.

Whether Dr Rao will share the same chemistry with the current Chief Minister as he used to share with Rajasekhar Reddy is yet to be seen.

Ghajini maker ropes in Hrithik

Allu Aravind who delivered the biggest hit of 2008, Ghajini, is apparently planning his second Hindi project already. This time he wants to remake his own Telugu blockbuster Magadheera for which he plans to rope in none other than Hrithik Roshan.A little birdie tells me that the filmmaker is planning to approach Roshan and ask him to portray the role played by Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja in the Telugu original.Now, Allu Aravind's Magadheera happens to be the costliest Telugu movie ever made with a budget of over Rs 40 crores. Being the first high budget film to be made in the Telugu film industry, Magadheera was released in almost 1200 screens across 14 countries on July 31, 2009.And that's not all. The movie had collected a sum of Rs 22 crores during its first week run and had a total collection of Rs 60 crores.Will the film do as well in its Hindi version? Will Hrithik be able to pull off an Aamir? Well we can only wait and watch!

Rajasinha turns director with Varun

Writer Rajasinha who wrote films like Evaraina Epudaina, Hello Premistara and Oy is turning director. Buzz is that young hero Varun Sandesh has okayed his script and agreed to do his maiden film. Durga Arts, which produced some of the big blockbusters like Kshana Kshanam, Hello Brother and Santosham, would be producing it. More details are awaited.

Madhur has decided to pixilate the hyped Neil Mukesh nude scene in Jail to avoid getting in trouble with the censors. After Madhur Bhandarkar faced flak from the censors for certain provocative scenes in Fashion, he has now decided to pixilate the much talked about Neil Nitin MukeshÂ’s nude scene in his forthcoming film Jail.Madhur took this decision at the edit table last week. One of MadhurÂ’s close aides said, "Madhur and his team felt that the scene was too blasphemous and its presence in the film would definitely land the film an A certificate. This time, he doesnÂ’t want that."Madhur was furious when the censor board had given an A to his last film, Fashion. "Jail has worked out well and Madhur is confident about its fate at the box-office.So he doesnÂ’t want to restrict the strength of his audience. Hence, he has decided to pixilate the scene. It will appear blurred, so the censors are unlikely to object to it," says MadhurÂ’s friend.Madhur Bhandarkar confirmed the story and said, "Yes, I have pixilated NeilÂ’s nude scene." Wonder if this makes self-regulation a fashionable trend?
