No place for Vijay in youth Congress: Rahul

The All India General Secretary of the Congress Party, Rahul Gandhi is on a three-day tour to Tamil Nadu to strengthen the party’s position in the state and is meeting youngsters to woo them into the party.
Speaking to the media persons in Chennai, Rahul said that actor Vijay is welcome to the Congress but since he has crossed over 35 years of age he may not find a place in the youth congress.
There were strong speculations that Vijay is considering to join the Congress party when he met Rahul in Delhi a few days ago. Reports also suggested that he would formally join the Congress in the Coimbatore meeting on September 10th. But with Rahul’s contention that it is a meeting only for those below 35 years, this now seems to be a distant possibility.
