“Vivek bashing had become a trend,” Vivek told Farah on the show. He further went on to say, “I remember one day when I returned after my shoot and saw my mom crying. I asked ‘Kya hua’. She replied, ‘Till when will they keep hitting at my son. I’m a mother, I too feel bad!’ And then she added, ‘I am proud of you. Had it been anyone else by now, he would be in a mental hospital or taking drugs or become an alcoholic.’”

Vivek spoke about the controversial press conference he called years ago against Salman when he was dating Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Finally when Farah asked him ‘Kya aap poori tarah se unhe bhoola chuke hain?’ referring to Aishwarya, Vivek gave a confident reply in the positive.

Roja's action not surprising

Posted by SRINU GUNTURU | | Posted On at 7:58 PM

R.K. Roja’s resignation from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), amid her open overtures to jump into the Congress bandwagon, has evoked little reaction from both -- the Congress and the TDP circles for two reasons.

One, there is no ‘surprise element’ in this because neither Ms. Roja nor the Congress, to be specific even late Rajasekhara Reddy, made any secret of this. The other reason was ill timing of Ms. Roja defection. She wanted to switch over to the Congress when it was caught in the emotional outpourings and a virulent pro-Jagan campaign.

Apparently even Roja had no choice but to announce her resignation and cross over to the Congress, because she had already taken the issue to the point of no return by heaping charges at the TDP and breaking ranks with the party and its supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu.

This happened two days before YSR’s chopper crash. But, as she had taken a committed step, she apparently could not have any second thought on her decision and had to do what she did.

Though Ms. Roja appeared to be a prized catch for the Congress in the pre-aircrash stage, her shifting of loyalties neither worried the TDP nor elated the Congress camp in the changed political scenario post-YSR.

According to sources, Reserve Bank of India is all set to introduce new set of 10 rupee notes. These new notes are said to be made of polymer. Bank sources claim that by having polymer notes, the life span will increase by four times.

The bank seems to have planned for 100 crore pieces of the new 10 rupee notes. The tender for the same also seems to have been floated.

Sources claim that the average life span of these notes will be five years. These notes will also be difficult to be counterfeited.

If all goes well then sources say that chances are that the other notes also would be made in the same format. The concern is with the Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes that are getting faked.

It has been a mixed result of sorts for the Telugu audience since the movie ‘Magadheera’ turned out to be a mega blockbuster while the most talked about film ‘Josh’ has turned out to be a mediocre fare at the box office. So now, they have shifted their focus towards the other flicks.

A special attention is currently on two movies that are gearing up for release. First in the list happens to be ‘Sankham’ and this has aggressive star Gopichand along with petite beauty Trisha. This is slated to be a high voltage action entertainer so action fans would love this one.

Then there is ‘Eenadu’ which has the iconic Kamal Haasan along with victory Venkatesh and the expectations are very high on this one. This is the remake of the Bollywood super hit ‘A Wednesday’ and audience is hopeful that these two movies will be giving a good time to the cash registers.
