The Praja Rajyam Party chief, K Chiranjeevi, would lead the party’s massive dharna at the Kakinada Collectorate on Saturday on the KG basin gas problem.
Chiranjeevi would reach Kakinada town in the morning and would proceed to Gadimoga village in the district. He would interact with the people in the village on the ONGC and Reliance exploration for the petroleum products. The PRP chief is expected to extend support to the people who have been agitating for due share in the Gas.
Later, the PRP chief would join the party leaders in a massive protest to be held at the Collectorate. The PRP chief had raised objections to the State govenrment’s stand on the KG basin gas and wanted the government to mount pressure on the Reliance group to leave State’s share in the product. The PRP found fault with the indifferent attitude of the government in taking its due share which would help the government to supply the LPG cylinder at Rs 100.
