Mujeeb gets lifer and others 10 years

Mujeeb Ahmed Hizbul Mujahideen's South India chief, was convicted for life and his wife, Zohra Nishad, for 10 years by the first additional metropolitan sessions judge court on Friday.
The PP said Mujeeb was convicted for "conspiring to wage war against the nation and for procuring arms to do so."
He was also convicted for procuring a satellite phone under the Indian Telegraphic Act and for being a member of the banned organisation � the Hizbul Mujahideen � under the Unlawful Prevention Act.
Mujeeb's accomplices � Jahangir Khan, lorry driver Shabbir Ahmed, Ravindra Kumar, lorry owner Mohammed Yaseen and Awad � were convicted to 10 years' imprisonment and a fine of Rs 2,000 was imposed.
Meanwhile, Mujeeb threw letters at the media personnel present, in which he alleged that an MIM leaders and an Intelligence official had conspired to implicated him in a false case.
His wife too claimed that Rajeev trivedi and another one police official asked for 50 laks as a bribe which they were unable to pay . The police called the allegations baseless.
